what steps do I need to immigrate from canada to US & buy a small business?
I am looking to buy a tanning salon in the Florida region, the ones i’ve been looking at are in the under $225K range. Should I purchase a business first or relocate first? Does owning a small business have any advantages for obtaining a green card; I heard of the investors green card but Im not investing $500,000 or more so i dont know if that one will apply to me. thanks for any help

As sad as it may be, and it is sad, it’s not as easy for Canadians to legally immigrate to the US as it is for say, people to cross the border from Mexico illegally and become citizens. Anyway, I think, that having a business in the US would make it a lot faster for you to immigrate, although, I’m not sure that you have to immigrate in order to own a business. Not that I want to discourage a Canadian from immigrating but, is there a reason you have to in order to own a business? I do not think there is but I am not certain.
