would 10,000 $ be enough to open up a little buisness, like a tanning salon?
I want to open up a tanning salon with my national guard money. I need to know everything about this! Thanks:)
Tanning salon is NOT a "little business" that can be started on a $10,000 budget. You will need your lease/rent, your staffing, capital expenditures, advertising and promotions to launch salon. Experts recommend that you have at least $80,000- $200,000 to start this business especially if you are going to lease every single piece of equipment.
Consider how much:
- your lease will be given the location that you can get – expect it to run anywhere about $2,500 a month or more if you are in a moderately busy road and the size of the population
- how many tanning beds are you thinking of — to make good profits you need at least 10 or more beds
- electricity will be a major expense, and it can run anywhere from $500-$2000 a month alone

Honestly no/ you got to pull out a loan// think of all the things you got to buy the tanning bed which is like 5000 dollars and rent and other things but you could do it just look into loans!!!

Its possible if your just going to lease out a building then just spend money on supplies and what not which i wouldnt think would be much for a nail salon but if you need some extra money then go to http://www.treasuretrooper.com/28828 and for every person you refer you get money and they got good deals on stuff with cash back shopping and what not give it a shot i am

No, it wouldn’t even be close. First you would need to buy a business license, then a storefront, then the tanning beds, then get the electric, water, etc. in your name. Then you need a tax ID number with both the Federal and State governments. You need to have an inspector come over and make sure everything is right before you open. You will need to get payroll handled as far as maybe an accountant to do your paperwork and pay the taxes, you will need to advertise that you are open, and finally you will need to hope people come to your store and pay you money to tan. Good luck.

It would be a decent down payment on a small business loan, but not enough to get the business rolling.

i would recommend you invest that money on stocks make it big then in 2 years or so invest it. Dont rush, you need extra money to start tanning salon. The material costs alot. Maintenance, rent, electric, customers to show up, paperwork, etc will take you time. I recommend you invest and save more.
want to make extra cash go to myprivatedorm.com
good luck to you!
