What can I do to wash the self tanning off my hands?
I used this self tanner and now my hands are dark brown when my natural skin tone is fair..what should i do to take it off?
Lemon is good for getting rid of it.

there is nothing you can do to get it off instantly, but to get it off faster I would suggest exfoliating with soap with the scrubbies in it… Sorry bout yer hands!

You can try using an oil based body scrub, but odds are it’s not going to come off with anything but time. If you don’t have an oil based body scrub at home, mix up some olive oil and salt and scrub away.

Scrub your hands with soap and water hard, maybe using your nails to scratch it away. Next time make sure to wash your hands after applying the lotion.

usually
right after you applied the self tanner
you should probably wash your hand in soap and warm water for as long as possible
now that the color set in, your just going to have to wait until the self tanner fades from your palms

use an exfoliating scrub. not only will it remove the tanner but, it will also make your hands soft.

You could wear gloves when applying it–or just rub it in entirely. Until there is nothing left on your hands.

scrub really hard or better yet don’t use it get a real tan!!!

Use a scrub and just rub them as hard as you can! Lemon juice can help, and the last resort is to scrub them with bleech! (don’t over do it though as it can cause irritation!)

I know lemon juice helps. If you got a loofah and some lemon juice and just started scrubbing it should come off. I hope it works!

it’s kinda too late, you need to wash your hands right when you’re done putting on the tanner, if you’ve let it sit and stain your hands, you justh ave to exfoliate, wash your hands a lot, and wait for it to fade. sorry
p.s. why are you using a dark brown tanner if your skin is fair? you should start out with a tanner for fair skin to get a good, subtle result

Hi I know tooth paste will take of instant false tan from your hands.

Try using a harsh exfoliating scrub and what works for me..(but it will also peel some of your skin off) is while you have the scrub on your hands use a pumice stone to scrub really hard.

My dad uses stuff like this all the time, and he puts a barrier cream like petroleum jelly on his hands first, so his hands dont stain. But that’s a preventative. You already have stained yourself. Lemon Juice is good for removing these stains, or rubbing Vanish into your hands too. It’s tricky to get the lines "blended" tho when removing the stains, it’s much better if you can use the preventative barrier cream in the first place. Remember for next time!!! lol

i used a pumice stone. it got most of it off.

Try Lysol wipes or Clorox wipes.

i scrubbed with a loofah and tide laundry detergent one time…and some of it came off.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to fully remove it but time. You can use baking soda and an exfoliate to help it fade a little. Next time either wear gloves when applying sunless tanners or scrub your hands as soon as your done applying. It happens to everyone.
