Would they allow me to wear a hat in a stand up tanning room?
The ones with the lights?
I want to dye my hair really badly, but lately have been tanning frequently for prom. I know the rays will cause the dye to fade and want to prevent this….
This may sound dumb, but pulling your shirt off so it’s around the top of your head and draping over your hair will do the trick in preventing color fading. Wearing a hat would be okay, and they shouldn’t have a problem with that, but it could also prevent your face from getting tanned. Otherwise there are some great shampoos and conditioners out there you could use that have a little bit of dye in them, to regain any color that may have faded. (I love Aveda’s. If you go into the salon and tell them what color you want, they will mix the dye you choose, the sent, and everything right in front of you.)

how would they know if you were wearing a hat or not? The only thing it is gonna do is give you a line on your forehead.

Why don’t you just try a shower cap? Nobody will know you wore one.. it’s not like they watch you tan to make sure you’re not wearing a hat..
